ChiefPriest had contested for the APC ticket representing Orsu/Orlu/Oru East Federal Constituency of Imo State ahead of the 2027 general elections.

However, he lost the primary to the incumbent lawmaker, Canice Nwachukwu, after securing just 14 votes.

Responding to the outcome, Seyi Tinubu shared a motivational message to the nightlife entrepreneur via his Instagram page on Sunday, which ChiefPriest later reposted.

“Bro, sometimes by losing a battle, you find a new way to win the war. Keep your head up @cubana_chiefpriest. We know what you are capable of achieving,” Seyi wrote.

ChiefPriest had earlier reacted to the primary election result in a viral video, saying he did not regret contesting for the position.

“I’m a hustler, and I didn’t regret trying to contest for a position. My only regret was trusting the elders in the community.

“I know how much I gave them, but only 14 people voted for me in the primary,” he said.
