An aspirant for the House of Representatives seat in Kosofe Federal Constituency under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Oluremi Oluwalogbon-Odunsi, has rejected the results being circulated from the party’s primary election conducted on Saturday, May 16, 2026.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Oluwalogbon-Odunsi maintained that no legitimate primary election was held in the constituency.

In a statement released after the exercise, she alleged that the figures being announced did not come from any recognised voting process.

She further claimed that both Mayor Adele Osinowo and the incumbent representative of the constituency, Khafilat Ogbara, separately declared themselves winners of the primary election.

“I reject the alleged results currently being circulated and announced in relation to yesterday’s primary election,” she stated.

According to the aspirant, her rejection stems from the fact that no actual voting exercise took place in Kosofe Federal Constituency on the scheduled date.

She argued that announcing results without conducting a proper election undermines the credibility of the process and violates the APC’s internal democratic principles.

“I cannot recognise or accept the purported outcome being circulated because doing so would amount to endorsing a process that failed to follow due process,” she added.

Oluwalogbon-Odunsi called on APC leaders and stakeholders to urgently step in to safeguard the integrity of the party’s primary process.

She disclosed that a formal petition and appeal outlining her grievances had already been submitted to the relevant party authorities.

The aspirant urged APC officials at both the state and national levels to investigate the alleged declaration of results, insisting that only a transparent review of the exercise would restore confidence among party members and aspirants.

She also reaffirmed her loyalty to the APC, noting that her actions were aimed at strengthening the party ahead of the general elections.
