The individuals named by the police are Chukwuebuka Ohaechesi, Emma Okonkwo, Jude Uwa, Gentle Okoro, Uchenna Dike, and Emmanuel Nwankwo.

In a statement issued on Tuesday by the command’s spokesperson, ASP Eguavon Omokaro, the police said the suspects are believed to be members of IPOB and were allegedly involved in organizing and participating in various protests across Abia State.

According to the statement, the demonstrations were reportedly connected to calls for the release of Nnamdi Kanu, who remains in detention, as well as demands for justice through legal processes.

The command alleged that some of the protests resulted in disturbances that disrupted public order in parts of the state.

It further stated that intelligence-led investigations identified the six men as key figures in the planning and coordination of the said demonstrations.

The police also alleged that the suspects and their supporters regularly gather on May 30 each year to mark Biafra remembrance activities, held across different locations in support of the Biafran movement and the campaign for Kanu’s release.

According to the statement, the command made several attempts to invite the individuals for questioning regarding the allegations. The first invitation was issued on December 18, 2025, followed by additional invitations on February 7, 2026, and March 3, 2026.

However, the police claimed that none of the six men responded to the invitations or appeared before investigators.

Following their alleged failure to honour the invitations, the command officially declared them wanted.

The police urged members of the public to provide useful information that could assist in locating and arresting the suspects, adding that credible information would be rewarded.
