Trump Threatens Military Response After Iran Allegedly Downs U.S. Helicopter
United States President Donald Trump has vowed that Washington will respond after Iran allegedly shot down an American Apache helicopter during a patrol mission over the Strait of Hormuz.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
Trump made the allegation in a post on his Truth Social account on Tuesday, stating that he had been briefed by the U.S. military on the incident.
According to him, the aircraft was a “highly sophisticated Apache Helicopter” carrying out a patrol over the strategic waterway when it was reportedly attacked overnight.
He added that two pilots were onboard at the time of the incident and confirmed that both survived without injuries.
“I have just been informed by our Great Military that last night the Iranians shot down one of our highly sophisticated Apache Helicopters while patrolling over the Strait of Hormuz,” Trump wrote.
“There were two pilots involved, both are safe and uninjured. Nevertheless, the United States must, of necessity, respond to this attack.”
Trump, however, did not provide details on the form of response being considered by the United States.
The alleged incident is expected to further heighten tensions between Washington and Tehran, particularly given the strategic importance of the Strait of Hormuz, a key global oil shipping route.
The waterway handles a significant portion of the world’s crude oil and gas shipments, making it a critical chokepoint for global energy security.
Any military escalation in the area typically raises concerns over oil supply disruptions and broader instability in the Middle East.
As of the time of filing this report, Iranian authorities had not issued an official response to the allegation.
The U.S. military has also not released additional details regarding the circumstances surrounding the reported incident.
