Edochie made his remarks in response to a post by skitmaker Nasboi, who commented on how the late actor managed his personal affairs.

Nasboi noted that Alexx Ekubo deliberately shielded his marriage from what he described as the negative side of social media, adding that after his passing, some blogs began circulating details and images linked to his wife. He also criticised online platforms for spreading rumours about the actor’s sexuality while he was alive.

Reacting on X (formerly Twitter), Yul Edochie argued that there was no need to keep personal matters hidden from the public and advised against being overly concerned about public opinion.

He stated that people will always talk regardless of one’s actions, and encouraged individuals to live freely without trying to please everyone.

According to him, success requires the ability to ignore criticism and focus on one’s own life.

“People shouldn’t hide anything from anyone. It isn’t necessary. People will always talk no matter what you do, so let them talk and focus on your life. To be successful, you must not make yourself small for anyone. Give them something to talk about while you live freely and enjoy your life,” he said.
