Inside Ekiti Poll: LGA Results Reveal Path To Oyebanji’s Victory As INEC Speaks

The Returning Officer for the election, Prof. Adenike Oladiji, who is also the Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Technology, announced the result at about 3:13 a.m. on Sunday.

According to her, Oyebanji secured a total of 319,224 votes to emerge victorious in the poll.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Oluwole Oluyede, came second with 40,543 votes, while the African Democratic Party (ADC) candidate, Dare Bejide, polled 12,872 votes.

Oladiji also disclosed that 384,940 voters were accredited for the election, with 375,777 valid votes recorded and 6,332 votes rejected.
