Heartbreak As Alexx Ekubo’s Sister, Chioma, Breaks Silence On Brother’s Death

In a post on her Instagram page on Wednesday, Chioma reflected on the deep bond they shared, saying life has been difficult since the actor’s death.

She described Alexx as a source of warmth, laughter and guidance, adding that she had always imagined growing old alongside him.

According to her, his sudden departure without the opportunity to say goodbye has left her heartbroken.

In the emotional message, Chioma said she constantly thinks about her late brother and hopes he is watching over the family despite his absence.

Meanwhile, veteran Nollywood actor Pete Edochie has also paid tribute to the late actor, remembering him as a cheerful, energetic and kind-hearted individual whose contributions to the Nigerian film industry will not be forgotten.

Speaking in an interview with PM News, Edochie recalled that although he met Alexx only three times, each encounter left a lasting impression because of the actor’s vibrant personality and warmth.

He recounted one memorable visit when Alexx arrived at his hotel with a cow and a group of Ogene drummers to invite him to an event, describing the gesture as a reflection of the late actor’s generosity and enthusiasm.

Edochie also revealed that Alexx had spoken about plans to celebrate his 80th birthday with him next year, adding that the actor’s death has brought those hopes to an unexpected end.

The veteran actor further commended IK Ogbonna for his unwavering friendship with Alexx, noting that he remained a loyal companion throughout the actor’s life and has continued to honour his memory after his passing.
