The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has revealed that he regularly asks his wife to pray that President Bola Tinubu will continue to support the FCT Administration under his leadership.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Wike made the disclosure on Tuesday during the inauguration of the Bwari Satellite Town water supply network, one of the projects commissioned as part of activities marking President Tinubu’s third anniversary in office.

According to the minister, his wife’s prayers have been answered, as the President has consistently provided the FCT Administration with the backing needed to transform the nation’s capital.

He said effective governance is measured by the impact it has on the lives of citizens, adding that President Tinubu’s administration is focused on improving the welfare of Nigerians.

“You can only make people happy through good governance by changing their lives for the better, and that is what President Bola Tinubu is doing,” Wike said.

Reflecting on his experience in public office, Wike noted that no minister can succeed without the full support of the President.

“I have been a governor and now a minister. You can hold office as a minister, but without the support of the President, it becomes very difficult to achieve meaningful results,” he said.

The minister also shared a personal moment, explaining that while he considers himself less prayerful, his wife is deeply committed to prayer.

“Every morning, I tell my wife to keep praying that Mr. President will not look away from us. I don’t know how to pray very well; my usual prayer is simply, ‘Lord, let me return home safely today.’ But she prays a lot, and I ask her to continue praying that the President will keep supporting us,” he said.

Wike praised Tinubu for giving the FCT Administration the resources and political backing required to execute developmental projects, assuring the President that the confidence placed in his team would not be misplaced.

He added that the administration would continue working to improve the lives of residents and ensure they enjoy the dividends of good governance.

According to Wike, the level of support the FCT Administration receives from the Presidency has translated into visible development, which he said residents acknowledged during the last Area Council elections.

“I know the people are happy because they demonstrated it during the Area Council elections by voting for all the chairmanship candidates who supported President Bola Tinubu. That has never happened in the history of the FCT,” he said.
