In the wake of the upcoming inauguration ceremony scheduled to take place at Eagle Square on Monday, and considering the discontent among Nigerians affiliated with the fragmented opposition party, Omokri expresses profound lamentation.
Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu (GCFR), the incoming president, claimed victory in the presidential election conducted by the electoral body, solidifying his reputation for political acumen. Insiders from divided opposition parties allege that their candidates were indirectly sponsored by Tinubu, further validating his astuteness in the political arena.

The People’s Democratic Party experienced a deep rift throughout its ranks, resulting in the loss of five Governors known as the G-5, namely Wike, Ugwaniyi, Ortom, Ikpeazu, and Seyi Makinde, who defected to the ruling party. Additionally, notable party members like Peter Obi shifted allegiance to the Labour Party, Kwankwaso joined the New Nigeria Peoples Party, Nnamani switched to the All Progressives Congress, and Fayose aligned with the ruling party, among others.
Anyone who continues to believe that the election was rigged by the electoral body is clearly unaware of the facts and is holding onto delusions. Such individuals are akin to someone sleeping on a bicycle and are unable to accept the reality of their defeat.
Prominent and impartial political commentators such as Deji Adeyanju, Anambra State Governor Soludo, and Omokri repeatedly emphasized the president-elect’s strategy to secure victory. However, the opposition turned a deaf ear to these insights due to their insatiable thirst for power and desperate ambition to assume the presidency.
It is crucial to emphasize that polling units are not conducted or determined through activities on Twitter and other social media platforms. Securing victory in an election goes beyond showcasing oneself at airports while being aware of owning a private jet. It also doesn’t involve making false claims about possessing only one shoe or wearing the same watch for seventeen years. An election won solely through propaganda, deceitful tactics, ethnic and religious bigotry cannot produce meaningful outcomes, as exemplified by the outgoing President, Buhari, which reinforces the validity of this assertion.
Omokri, aged 49, has found validation in his beliefs and expressed profound anguish on his social media platform.
In his words, he said;
“Keep saying #TinubuIsnotMyPresident. Wait until the fellow gives one order after tomorrow and you disobey it. By the time the Nigerian Army deals with you, you will know that Tinubu, even though he is a known cartel member, is very much your President due to your own failure to unite as an opposition and present only one candidate.”
“This #TinubuIsnotMyPresident trend is just the same type of exercise in futility. As from tomorrow, God sparing his life, the former drug cartel member will be your President. Whether you like it or not. Instead of trending futile hashtags, go and prepare your cases in court so that it is so airtight that the justices have no other option but to unseat him. And if that fails, then start preparing for 2027 by UNITING. Because it was not Tinubu that defeated the opposition. It was our disunity that defeated us. Together, all the PDP candidates who went to Labour, NNPP and G-5 took away over 8 million votes from the PDP. If we had been united, you wouldn’t be trending this useless hashtag today.”
