Nigerian professional wrestler Oba Femi secured the biggest victory of his career on Saturday night, defeating former UFC heavyweight champion and WWE legend Brock Lesnar in a brutal Hell in a Cell match at WWE SummerSlam.

The blockbuster contest took place at the U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and marked Femi’s first-ever appearance inside the iconic Hell in a Cell structure.

Despite facing one of WWE’s most accomplished competitors, the Lagos-born star overcame a relentless assault before sealing victory with his signature Fall From Grace finishing move.

Lesnar controlled significant portions of the match, punishing Femi with multiple German suplexes, attacks using the steel steps and a devastating Tombstone piledriver onto exposed wooden boards beneath the ring.

Femi, however, refused to stay down, fighting back with two powerful chokeslams as the contest evolved into a hard-hitting exchange between both superstars.

The turning point came when Lesnar attempted to use a steel chair. Femi countered by knocking the chair from his opponent’s hands with a powerful right hand before delivering the decisive Fall From Grace, earning a dramatic victory.

In a show of respect after the match, Lesnar embraced the Nigerian wrestler and praised him before the crowd, describing Femi as the future of WWE while referring to himself as part of the company’s past.

Reacting to the moment, Femi admitted he was surprised by Lesnar’s public endorsement.

“The hug and public endorsement definitely caught me by surprise. I didn’t expect that,” Femi said.

“I’ve always known Brock respects me, just as he knows I have a great deal of respect for him.”

The SummerSlam triumph capped an outstanding year for the Nigerian wrestler.

Earlier in 2026, Femi defeated Lesnar at WrestleMania 42 before capturing the prestigious King of the Ring crown in June.

Saturday’s showdown also brought an end to an intense rivalry that began after Lesnar returned from an apparent retirement and launched an attack on Femi.

Although Lesnar later gained revenge with a victory at Clash in Italy, Femi had the final word by emerging victorious in their decisive encounter at WWE SummerSlam.
