Tinubu Makes Fresh Appointment, Names New Special Adviser

President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of Prince Adetokunbo Ademola Ade-John as Senior Special Assistant to the President on Transportation and Mobility.

According to Bush Radio Academy, the appointment was approved on August 27, 2026, as part of efforts by the administration to strengthen coordination and improve policy implementation within Nigeria’s transportation sector.

Ade-John is expected to work closely with relevant government agencies and institutions to support the coordination of policies and programmes relating to transportation and mobility across the country.

His responsibilities will include assisting with the implementation of the administration’s transportation plans, while also promoting stronger collaboration among key agencies and stakeholders operating within the sector.

The new appointment will be subject to the terms and conditions outlined under the Certain Political, Public and Judicial Office Holders (Salaries and Allowances, etc.) (Amendment) Act, 2008.

Prior to his latest role, Ade-John served as a Special Assistant to the Minister of Tourism. He is also known for his involvement in grassroots politics and activities within the All Progressives Congress.

Ade-John currently serves as an APC Apex Youth Leader, with his political activities extending across various parts of the world.

The Presidency expressed confidence that he would bring his experience and knowledge to the new assignment as the Tinubu administration continues efforts to advance its transportation and mobility agenda.
