Carter Efe Hit With Major TikTok Setback As Peller’s Old Warning Video Emerges

Nigerian content creator Peller has come under renewed scrutiny after an old video in which he urged his followers to report comedian Carter Efe’s TikTok account resurfaced following the platform’s latest ban on the comedian.

The video began circulating online on September 9, shortly after Carter Efe lost his main TikTok account, which had amassed more than 5.6 million followers and 158 million likes.

In the resurfaced footage, Peller was seen kneeling while appealing to his followers to report Carter Efe’s account. He reportedly accused the comedian of attempting to undermine other content creators and discussed a strategy aimed at getting the account taken down.

The emergence of the old footage has generated fresh reactions among social media users, particularly because of its timing following Carter Efe’s latest setback on TikTok.

However, there is currently no confirmed evidence that Peller’s previous appeal or actions by his followers played any role in TikTok’s decision to ban Carter Efe’s account.

According to Bush Radio Academy, screenshots of an enforcement notice circulating online indicated that TikTok permanently removed the account over repeated violations of the platform’s Community Guidelines.

The ban represents another major setback for Carter Efe, who had previously lost a TikTok account with approximately 3.5 million followers in June 2025. The comedian subsequently rebuilt his presence on the platform and grew his new account to more than five million followers before the latest enforcement action.

The resurfaced video has also reignited discussions about rivalry, competition and relationships among prominent Nigerian content creators. While the timing has prompted speculation among social media users, TikTok’s stated reason for the ban remains repeated violations of its Community Guidelines, with no verified indication that Peller or his followers were responsible for the latest action.
