Obasanjo Reveals Why He Doesn’t Know Don Jazzy, Carter Efe, Poco Lee

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has revealed that he is not familiar with some of Nigeria’s popular entertainment personalities, including Don Jazzy, Carter Efe and Poco Lee.

According to Bush Radio Academy, Obasanjo made the disclosure during an appearance on comedian Isbae U’s podcast, Curiosity Made Me Ask, where he engaged in a light-hearted exchange with the host over several well-known figures in the entertainment industry.

During the conversation, Isbae U asked the former president whether he knew Carter Efe. Obasanjo replied that he did not. When asked about Poco Lee, he also said he was not familiar with him.

The comedian then mentioned Don Jazzy, prompting a surprised reaction from Obasanjo before he jokingly pointed out that the people known to Isbae U were different from those within his own circle of familiarity.

When Isbae U suggested that the entertainers might know Obasanjo even if he did not know them personally, the former president responded humorously that perhaps they were simply not among the people he considered important enough to know.

The exchange continued with Obasanjo contrasting the entertainers mentioned by the comedian with prominent international personalities he had encountered during his years in public life.

He cited the late Queen Elizabeth II, whom he said he personally received during her visit to Nigeria, as well as King Charles III, whom he said he had met at his farm in Wales.

The conversation formed part of a wider discussion in which Isbae U spoke about having an international audience. Obasanjo playfully teased the comedian over his overseas following, noting the contrast between having viewers abroad and not having travelled to countries such as the United Kingdom or the United States.
