Former Senator, 74, Reportedly Marries 18-Year-Old Granddaughter’s Best Friend

Former Nigerian senator Emmanuel Dangana Ocheja has reportedly sparked reactions online following reports that he recently married an 18-year-old lady identified as Winifred.

According to Bush Radio Academy, the reported marriage has attracted attention because of the significant age difference between Ocheja and the young woman, as well as claims that Winifred is a close friend of the former senator’s granddaughter.

Ocheja, who is reportedly 74 years old, served as a senator representing Kogi East in the National Assembly between 2011 and 2015. He was a member of the 7th National Assembly during his tenure.

Reports circulating online claim that Ocheja and Winifred recently held a lavish wedding ceremony, although details surrounding the relationship and the couple’s marriage have not been independently confirmed.

The development gained further attention after a video from the reported wedding ceremony surfaced online. The footage was shared by filmmaker Seun Oloketuyi, the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Best of Nollywood Ventures.

In the video, Ocheja could be seen dancing with the young woman identified as his new wife as guests watched and celebrated with the couple. Winifred also appeared to participate in the celebration.
