President Bola Tinubu is expected to return to Abuja on Monday evening after spending six days in Lagos, following the conclusion of his extended holiday in London and Paris.

According to Bush Radio Academy, the President arrived in Lagos on September 29 and is scheduled to depart for the Federal Capital Territory later on Monday, according to a statement by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.

Onanuga said the President’s six-day stay in Lagos included several official engagements, including his address to Nigerians on October 1 as the country celebrated its 66th Independence anniversary.

During the Independence Day address, Tinubu highlighted his administration’s economic reforms and efforts aimed at easing the cost of living for Nigerians.

The President also attended the national premiere of MKO, a documentary chronicling the life, political activities and legacy of the late businessman and politician, Chief Moshood Kashimawo Olawale Abiola.

The documentary also highlights the historic June 12, 1993 presidential election and the pro-democracy struggle that followed its annulment. The premiere was held at the Wole Soyinka Centre for Culture and Creative Arts in Lagos.

Tinubu also paid a visit to the Oba of Lagos, Oba Rilwan Babatunde Akiolu, at the monarch’s Iga Iduganran Palace on Lagos Island on Sunday.

The President’s return to Abuja will mark the end of his six-day stay in Lagos following his extended trip abroad.
