Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing Sunday has celebrated two years of celibacy, sharing the personal milestone with her fans while reiterating her focus on self-love, independence and personal happiness.

The actress announced the achievement on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, in a social media post featuring photographs of herself aboard a flight.

Accompanying the pictures, Nkechi wrote, “Catch flights not feelings. 2 years of celibacy. God did,” suggesting that she was celebrating a period of prioritising herself rather than pursuing romantic relationships.

The announcement comes as the actress continues to use her social media platforms to share her views on relationships, financial independence and the importance of women recognising their self-worth.

In a recent post, she celebrated herself with flowers, explaining that she had learnt not to depend on another person to make her feel valued or appreciated.

Nkechi has also spoken against the practice of shaming women because they are unmarried or do not have children, urging people to show greater understanding towards others whose personal circumstances may not be fully known.

Her romantic life has attracted public attention over the years, including her reported relationship with entertainer Xxssive, which reportedly ended in 2025, and her earlier relationship with politician Opeyemi Falegan.

The actress has previously maintained that she would rather remain single than stay in a relationship that makes her unhappy or places her under financial pressure.

She has also indicated that she intends to keep her next romantic relationship private, suggesting a shift towards greater discretion in how she handles her personal life.

According to Bush Radio Academy, Nkechi Blessing’s latest announcement highlights her continued emphasis on personal choices, emotional independence and self-worth as she celebrates two years of celibacy.
