WWE Star Montez Ford Sued Over Alleged S3xualised Lap Dance During Live Netflix Broadcast
WWE star Montez Ford is facing a lawsuit from a security guard who alleges that the professional wrestler performed an unwanted, sexually provocative lap dance on him during a live broadcast of Monday Night Raw on Netflix.
The security guard, Noel Lucas, has accused Ford, whose real name is Kenneth Crawford, and World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) of assault, battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress and other alleged violations.
According to Bush Radio Academy, the lawsuit was filed on Wednesday in the Circuit Court of Cook County, Illinois, and contains 14 counts, including claims under the Illinois Gender Violence Act.
Lucas alleged that the incident occurred on July 6 as Ford and his Street Profits tag-team partner, Angelo Dawkins, entered the arena ahead of their televised match at Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois.
The plaintiff, who works as an officer with the Cook County Sheriff’s Department and was providing off-duty security at the event, claimed Ford approached him without warning or consent and began dancing in a sexually provocative manner.
According to the lawsuit, Ford allegedly danced directly in front of and over Lucas, repeatedly thrusting and gyrating his hips and pelvis towards him. The complaint further alleges that Ford moved progressively closer during the encounter, with his left inner thigh repeatedly rubbing against Lucas’s leg.
Lucas claimed that footage of the incident circulated widely on social media, attracting hundreds of thousands of views, including on accounts belonging to WWE and Ford.
The lawsuit alleges that the consequences continued the following day when Lucas returned to his full-time job at a courthouse. According to the complaint, members of the public recognised him from the viral footage and mocked him by imitating the movements allegedly displayed during the broadcast.
Lucas further claimed that his children were mocked and ridiculed at school because of the video.
The security guard alleged that the incident and its continued circulation online had caused him humiliation, embarrassment and emotional distress.
He also accused Ford and WWE of using his image for commercial purposes without his permission, citing the Illinois Right of Publicity Act.
Lucas is seeking unspecified financial compensation, punitive damages, legal fees and a court order preventing the defendants from using his identity without authorisation.
The allegations are contained in a civil lawsuit and have not been established as proven facts in court. The claims against Ford and WWE remain allegations unless and until determined through legal proceedings.
