PHOTO NEWS: Rainbow Coalition takes Shape In Kwara as PDP Senatorial Candidate Promotes Tinubu’s Re-Election Bid

The emerging cross-party political alignment ahead of the 2027 general elections has gone on full swing in Kwara State, with Senator Saliu Mustapha, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for Kwara Central Senatorial District, openly displaying and promoting the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Photographs of the newly branded campaign secretariat in Ilorin show large campaign banners promoting Mustapha’s return to the Senate alongside materials bearing the photographs of President Tinubu and the senator.

Despite crossing to the PDP to pursue his senatorial re-election, the lawmaker has maintained his support for Tinubu’s second-term ambition.

The development further highlights the increasingly blurred political boundaries between the APC and sections of the opposition ahead of the 2027 elections, with Kwara State emerging as another arena for the unfolding cross-party alliance.

The Rainbow Coalition, associated with the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has emerged as a platform for cross-party cooperation in support of Tinubu’s second-term ambition.

Beyond Wike’s political allies within the PDP, the President’s re-election bid has attracted support from prominent figures associated with other political parties, including APGA, Accord and sections of the Social Democratic Party (SDP).
