He Told Me Not To Call Again – Woman Seeks Help To Recover ₦900,000 Sent By Mistake

A Nigerian woman, Edith Ekanem, has appealed to members of the public to help her locate a man identified as Jacob Zingdam after she allegedly transferred ₦900,000 to his account by mistake.

According to Bush Radio Academy, Ekanem made the appeal in a video shared online, explaining that the transaction occurred on September 1 and that she contacted her point-of-sale (POS) agent immediately after discovering the error.

She said the agent advised her to remain patient, explaining that he had contacted the recipient and requested that he return the money. The agent also reportedly provided her with Zingdam’s phone number so she could communicate with him directly.

Ekanem explained that she contacted the man, who initially spoke politely and gave her the impression that he was willing to refund the money. According to her account, he requested her bank account details, which she subsequently sent to him.

However, after waiting for several hours without receiving the money, she called him again to inquire about the refund.

Recounting their subsequent conversation, Ekanem alleged that Zingdam became dismissive and told her to stop calling his number because he was working.

“He said I was disturbing him. That I shouldn’t call this line again, that he’s working,” she recounted.

The woman said she had been trying to recover the money since the transaction took place on September 1, but the man had allegedly stopped answering her calls.

Ekanem has now turned to the public for assistance in locating Zingdam and recovering the ₦900,000.

The circumstances surrounding the transaction and the alleged refusal to refund the money have not been independently verified. The account represents Ekanem’s claims, and no response from Zingdam was included in the available report.
