Intruders Spend Less Than Five Minutes Inside Bruno Fernandes’ Home As Police Launch Probe

Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes’ home in Cheshire, England, was reportedly burgled on Wednesday, October 21, while the midfielder was in Italy with his team for a match against Como.

According to Bush Radio Academy, the 32-year-old footballer was away with Manchester United when the intruders allegedly entered his property. His family members were also reportedly absent at the time of the incident.

Reports indicate that the suspects spent less than five minutes inside the house before the police arrived.

Cheshire Police said officers responded to reports of suspicious activity after a caller reported seeing three unidentified men in the rear garden of a neighbouring property.

The police confirmed that a burglary had occurred at the address but declined to confirm or deny whether Fernandes was the victim.

Detective Inspector David Jarvis of the Macclesfield Proactive Criminal Investigation Department said the investigation was still at an early stage, adding that officers were committed to identifying and apprehending those responsible.

The incident has renewed concerns about burglaries targeting professional footballers while they are away from home on club duties.

Other football personalities have reportedly experienced similar incidents. Manchester City midfielder Ruben Dias and his former girlfriend, Maya Jama, were reportedly affected by a burglary in January while Dias was away for a UEFA Champions League fixture against Galatasaray.

Footballers Jack Grealish, Raheem Sterling and Riyad Mahrez have also been linked to similar incidents involving burglaries at their homes.

Authorities are continuing their investigation into the Cheshire incident as concerns persist over the security of footballers’ residences during periods when they are away for matches.
