Oba Ogbagba II emphasized that one’s accomplishments are ultimately determined by God’s will, as there is little that can be achieved without divine intervention.

He stated, “There is nothing one can do by himself except what God wants for that person. God spoke through you that it is your turn, and may it not lead to death.”

The phrase “emi lo kan” carries the meaning of “It’s my turn” in the Yoruba language. Tinubu initially spoke these words during his campaign as the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State, leading up to the party’s primary election.
