In an effort to address the soaring cost of living resulting from the discontinuation of fuel subsidy, Governor Babagana Umara Zulum of Borno State has taken a significant step by providing free transportation solutions for farmers. Among the means of transport, 50 luxurious buses will be allocated from the fleet of the Borno Express Corporation, a state-owned transport company. Additionally, the state government will procure and supply 30 pick-up vans to cater specifically to the transportation needs of farmers. This strategic initiative aims to mitigate the adverse effects of the fuel subsidy withdrawal, ensuring that farmers can continue their agricultural activities without incurring additional expenses for transportation.

Governor Zulum’s proactive approach to supporting farmers and cushioning the impact of the fuel subsidy removal has garnered praise and commendation from Nigerians across the country.
