Obiora Ifoh, the National Publicity Secretary of the LP, revealed this information to the press. Acknowledging the development, Barrister Julius Abure, the national chairman of the Labour Party, urged the party’s over 10 million members to stay vigilant and ready to challenge the APC and its government in the forthcoming polls.

Abure expressed concerns about rumors suggesting that the government was planning a rerun election, and emphasized the need for the LP to be proactive in its response. While the party’s primary objective remains the outright declaration of Peter Obi as the President of Nigeria, Abure stated that they should also be prepared for the possibility of a rerun election, considering the government’s preparations.

Furthermore, the LP expressed confidence in their case before the presidential election petition tribunal, believing that the outcome will favor Obi. They also expressed optimism that the higher courts, including the Supreme Court, would rule in their favor if the matter reached that stage, maintaining their hope and confidence in the legal process.
