The Lagos State Government had refuted claims of a mass burial for the EndSARS victims, clarifying that the bodies to be buried were not recovered from Lekki Toll Gate but from various locations across the state during and after the protests.

In response, Oby Ezekwesili criticized the Lagos Government for its disrespectful approach in addressing the public. She found it inappropriate for the government to use such words when it had willingly sought power to govern the people.
Taking to Twitter, Ezekwesili raised concerns about the government’s delayed response and questioned why it took the leak of an internal document titled “Mass Burial of EndSARS Victims” for the government to provide an explanation regarding the victims of the tragedy.
Ezekwesili emphasized the need for accountability from both the state and federal governments concerning the EndSARS protests and the CoViD19 palliative distribution. She stated that this ongoing issue demands further attention and resolution.
