According to the CV presented by Utsev, he was born in 1980 and completed his first school leaving certificate in 1989, leading to questions raised by the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio.
Senator Abba Moro explained that it was a typographical error in Utsev’s CV after the nominee attempted to defend the dates.
Despite the attempt to clarify the situation, the Senators continued to express concern about the inconsistencies. However, amidst the drama, the Senate President intervened, suggesting that the discrepancies might be typographical errors, but some Senators opposed this view.
Eventually, the Senators focused on Prof. Utsev’s area of expertise and directed him to “take a bow and go” without further questions related to his bio-data.
