This marked Ganduje’s inaugural overseeing of the NWC proceedings since his ascension to the position of APC National Chairman.
The meeting unfolded at the APC’s national secretariat in Abuja, serving as a significant step for Ganduje’s leadership in the party.
His appointment as National Chairman followed his election during a national executive committee (NEC) meeting held on August 3.
In a parallel development, Ajibola Basiru, a former Senate spokesperson, was also chosen as the new national secretary, succeeding Abdullahi Adamu and Iyiola Omisore who had resigned from the positions of APC National Chairman and National Secretary, respectively.
Adding intrigue to the political landscape, Anyim Pius, a prominent member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), engaged in a meeting with the new APC National Chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, on Sunday.
The encounter took place at Ganduje’s residence in Abuja and has fueled speculation about potential political realignments.
It’s noteworthy that Anyim had recently held discussions with President Bola Tinubu at Aso Rock, prompting conjecture about his potential defection to the ruling APC.
