Speaking before party members and supporters of the appointees gathered at the pavilion within the Government House in Ado Ekiti, he encouraged them to cultivate effective socio-political skills and emotional intelligence.

These qualities would enable them to effectively manage expectations with diplomacy and empathy.

Governor Oyebanji refuted notions circulating in some quarters suggesting that he had been governing without a cabinet since assuming office on October 16 of the previous year.

He clarified that his cabinet had been in place since November 2022, following the appointment and inauguration of the initial group of commissioners and special advisers. This group had been actively participating in executive council meetings on a regular basis.

Among those inaugurated in November 2022 were Mr. Dayo Apata, the Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice; Mr. Akintunde Oyebode, the Commissioner for Finance and Economic Development; Dr. Oyebanji Filani, the Commissioner for Health and Human Services; and nine special advisers.
