Mudashiru Obasa. Akinsanya assured the victims that Speaker Obasa empathizes with their situation and has directed the relevant agency to halt the demolitions immediately.
Akinsanya clarified that their visit aimed to assess the extent of the demolitions and announced that all parties involved in the incident would be summoned for inquiries.
He further mentioned that officials from the Community Development Committee (CDC) and the Community Development Area (CDA) would also be called upon.
The committee head encouraged the community residents to provide any pertinent information that could aid the investigation.
In response, members of the affected community confirmed that the demolition activities were ceased following the directive from the House of Assembly’s Speaker.
Representing the impacted residents, Mr. Olarenwaju Olusegun expressed gratitude to Speaker Obasa and the entire House for their swift response to the community’s plight.
He also articulated the community’s hope that provision would be made for the education of the children affected by the demolition of their schools.
