According to a statement from Presidential spokesperson Ajuri Ngelale, President Tinubu commended the governor’s unwavering commitment to the well-being and security of his constituents, placing their interests above all else.
Zulum’s focus on fostering renewed optimism among people of all ages and restoring institutions and infrastructure damaged by years of insurgency is indeed noteworthy.
President Tinubu also acknowledged the governor’s remarkable courage in driving comprehensive change. He traced this commitment back to Zulum’s previous roles, including his tenure as an educator, where he held various significant positions such as deputy dean and acting dean of the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Maiduguri. Zulum’s achievements extended to roles as the rector of Ramat Polytechnic and the commissioner of Reconstruction, Rehabilitation, and Resettlement under former Borno State Governor Kashim Shettima, who currently serves as the nation’s Vice President.
