In explaining his decision, Morris highlighted the accomplishments of Gov. Duoye Diri, many of which have remained concealed from the public eye. He expressed his unwavering support for Diri’s bid for re-election, citing the governor’s remarkable achievements as the impetus for his choice.
“I’ve chosen to stand behind the incumbent governor due to his outstanding leadership qualities among the prominent contenders,” Morris stated. Assessing the pool of candidates for the November 11 election, he firmly believed that Diri was the deserving candidate for support.
Morris clarified his association with the Labour Party, mentioning that his involvement began with his appointment as the state coordinator. However, that responsibility has concluded, and Morris now finds himself aligned with Governor Diri’s aspirations for continued progress.
