Katsina State Government Grants N20 Million Support To Families Of Slain Vigilantes

Furthermore, the governor mentioned that a total of 10 vigilante members who sustained injuries, as well as a police officer, would each receive N250,000. Additionally, the family of a military officer who lost his life in the line of duty would be given N1 million in financial support.

Governor Radda also stated that individuals from the public who suffered injuries during recent bandit attacks in the affected areas would be considered for support in due course.

He explained that this gesture was in alignment with his campaign promises to acknowledge and appreciate those who made significant sacrifices in safeguarding the state. The governor affirmed his administration’s unwavering commitment to combating insecurity and other criminal activities throughout the state.

“My office is always open for advice and suggestions that will aid our administration in fulfilling and realizing its commitments,” he emphasized.

Sa’idu Danja, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Support for Victims of Banditry, earlier revealed that the government had already spent over N11.8 million on treating victims of banditry attacks. He noted that more than 80 victims had received free medical treatment at various healthcare facilities, with approximately 40 of them having been discharged.
