Regarding the palliatives provided to states by the Federal Government, George commented, “There is no one on this planet called Earth who knows everything.
Who serves as the Chief Economic Adviser in the Villa? Is he an expert economist? Is he employing outdated economic strategies? Fundamental economic theory posits that when an excessive amount of money chases a limited supply of goods, it leads to hyperinflation.
You allocated N5 billion to states as palliatives, but who made that decision? Lagos has a population of over 22 million, Bayelsa about two million, and they received the same amount.”
He continued, “Kano, with its significant population, received the same as Jigawa. Is this money intended for a select few or for the general populace? The world is now a global village.
When Russia halted its gas pipeline to Europe, both regions faced immense challenges. What we are addressing here is the suffering experienced by the people.”
In his warning to the judiciary not to undermine the electoral process, the PDP leader remarked, “Regardless of the eventual winner announced by the tribunal in this election, I must say that if the judiciary declares anyone the president through the flawed procedures of this election, it will be a disgrace to our nation. The judiciary should not venture down that path.”
