Ihejiagwa urged the council members not to underestimate the “urgent need” to rescue the state. He emphasized, “You have become the torchbearers for LP, our candidate, Senator Athan Achonu, and Peter Obi in all the communities within your regions. The LP Chairman urged the council to fulfill their responsibilities with pride, integrity, and selflessness, recognizing that they have been chosen by divine providence to free Imo. He stressed that failing to meet the people’s expectations would result in their unforgiveness.

Ihejiagwa also highlighted the prevailing security concerns in the state, which have led many to hold traditional events outside Imo State out of fear of potential attacks in their hometowns.
