This revelation was made during a courtesy visit to the Government House in Bauchi by a delegation from the State Council of Emirs, led by its deputy chairman, Emir of Katagum, Alhaji Umar Faruk II.

Governor Mohammed emphasized the need to improve the compensation structure for district and village heads to deter them from engaging with bandits and other nefarious elements seeking to compromise their integrity.

He emphasized the importance of addressing their basic needs, including food and transportation, as a means of fulfilling the trust placed in them to safeguard the lives, land, and property within their jurisdictions.
