The Oyo/Osun Command of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has reported that it generated a total revenue of N47.40 billion for the Federation Account between January and September 2023. In addition to this financial performance, there has been a recent change in leadership within the command. Comptroller Ben Oramalugo has been deployed to the Oyo/Osun Area Command as the new Customs Area Controller, replacing Comptroller Babajide Jaiyeoba.
The handover ceremony took place in Ibadan, Oyo State, where Comptroller Jaiyeoba praised the command for exceeding its revenue target for the year 2022.
He highlighted the revenue collection of N47,408,251,086.73 and various seizures of uncustomed goods with a DPV of N308,282,459.00 during the period from January to September 2023.
Comptroller Jaiyeoba commended the professionalism and resilience of the command’s officers and urged them to continue working as a team within the framework of the Service’s regulations, extending their cooperation to his successor, Comptroller Oramalugo.
