In a press conference held on Wednesday, October 4, in Lafia, the party’s chairman, Aliyu Bello, voiced support for Governor Sule’s decision to appeal the judgment at the Court of Appeal.
Bello stated, “Our great party, the APC, firmly believes that the election tribunal made a mistake in its decision. Therefore, we unequivocally reject the tribunal’s split verdict of two to one, which nullified Governor Abdullahi Sule’s re-election for a second term as the executive Governor of Nasarawa state.”
He further contended that the tribunal had also made a significant error in declaring the PDP candidate as the winner of the gubernatorial election in Nasarawa state.
