Hospital Operations Grind To A Halt In Enugu State As Workers Protest Seven Months Of Unpaid Salaries

These protesting workers, who have disrupted all hospital operations, marched through various departments holding placards and singing labor songs.
One of the affected workers shared their ordeal, revealing that they have not received their salaries since February.
The worker explained, “We have made our grievances known to the state government. We have also appealed to the hospital management to pay our wages, but our pleas have gone unanswered. We took to the streets today to ensure that our voices are heard globally.”
“It is extremely heartless for a government to withhold workers’ salaries for up to seven months in the current economic climate. Despite this, the workers continue to report to work daily. There is no justification for delaying our monthly salaries,” the worker concluded.
