In a statement issued on Friday in response to allegations made by another prominent member of the Rivers State party, Tony Okocha, during a recent meeting with the national chairman of the party, Abdullahi Ganduje, the APC leader clarified that those accusing Amaechi are engaging in political mudslinging tactics.
Eze emphasized that there was no agreement between Amaechi and Atiku, and prior to the 2023 elections, the former Minister never directed his supporters to act against Tinubu.
Furthermore, Eze pointed out that Okocha was no longer affiliated with the APC, making him unaware of the party’s internal workings.
He alleged that Okocha and his associates initiated the ongoing media confrontations because Ganduje did not endorse their efforts to launch smear campaigns against Amaechi and the primary APC state executive team in Rivers.
