Vice President Kashim Shettima has issued clear instructions to the members of the i-DICE Steering Committee, urging them to ensure the program’s commencement by the end of November this year, as per a statement from the VP’s media aide, Stanley Nkwocha. During a meeting at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, the i-DICE team provided the VP with an update on the progress made thus far.

Shettima underscored the significance of the initiative to the Federal Government’s drive for digital job creation, expressing the administration’s commitment to delivering on its promises to the Nigerian populace.

He encouraged all stakeholders involved in the i-DICE program to ensure the responsible utilization of the funds, recognizing the potential transformative impact of the $617.7 million initiative.

The Vice President remarked, “Given the unique challenges we face in the country, it is imperative that we generate employment opportunities for our large youth population to address the crises associated with youth unemployment.

I urge all of us here to come together and work towards ensuring that this program commences no later than the end of November this year.”
