Dr. Innocent Eteng, the Head of Service (HoS) of the state, made this announcement on Monday during a discussion with reporters following his visits to several Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) in Calabar, the state capital.
Dr. Eteng, who assumed his role just one week ago, expressed dissatisfaction with what he perceived as a lack of commitment among civil servants.
During his visits to seven MDAs between 8:30 am and 9:00 am on Monday, he instructed the Heads of Administration to question employees who were absent from their assigned duties. Additionally, he mandated these heads to submit the responses to his office within 24 hours.
