Tinubu implored Nigerians to prioritize their mental well-being and expressed her concern about the emotional and psychological burdens many individuals are grappling with, which have had adverse effects on their mental health.

The First Lady went on to urge fellow Nigerians to extend their support to those who are dealing with these challenges in various ways. She remarked, “The difficulties of our contemporary era have tested our resilience, particularly the influence of social media and societal pressures, which have left many individuals burdened with emotional and psychological struggles that have negatively impacted their mental well-being.”

She emphasized the critical importance of acknowledging the significance of mental health and collectively working to assist those affected.

Tinubu also stressed the need for candid conversations with the youth to enhance their mental health, help them better manage their emotions and expectations, promote healthy relationships, and ultimately boost their productivity.

Furthermore, she called for the cultivation of a culture of understanding and empathy while dismantling the stigma associated with mental health issues. The First Lady concluded by highlighting that everyone has a role to play in addressing this global challenge.
