Speaking in Ado Ekiti during the commencement of the Ekiti Performance Assessment and Improvement Report (EKPAIR) workshop, the governor emphasized that his government will establish benchmarks for service and project delivery to positively impact the lives of the people of Ekiti.
Oyebanji clarified that merely conducting meetings, processing files, and organizing events without translating them into tangible results would be a futile exercise unless there are performance measurement criteria in place.
He urged the heads of MDAs to approach their responsibilities objectively, detached from emotional factors, in order to achieve optimal performance. The governor emphasized that there would be severe consequences for any laxity among the MDAs.
Furthermore, he assured the workshop participants that the government would fulfill its role by ensuring all necessary logistical support is provided for success, emphasizing his commitment to completing every project within his tenure.
He stressed, “If we aim to enhance the quality of life for the people of Ekiti and make a significant impact as a government, we must establish clear standards for service and project delivery. Continuously convening meetings, discussing files, or paperwork, without yielding tangible outcomes for the citizens, is a fruitless endeavor.”
