In the wake of a student’s demise, the Al-Azhar Academy in Zaria was closed down by the Kaduna State School Quality Assurance Authority.
Student Marwan Nuhu Sambo faced severe punishment for absenteeism, which eventually led to his death.
Following the incident, both the school’s principal and a staff member have been apprehended by the police.
The Kaduna State School Quality Assurance Authority has decided to close the school temporarily while the investigation into the student’s death unfolds.
