that this ruling came in response to appeals filed by Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP) challenging Tinubu’s election.
Atiku and Obi took their case to the highest court to contest the decision of the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal, which had dismissed their petitions against Tinubu.
“The struggle for a better society has just begun, and we understand that nothing can conquer a populace that has grown weary of the pervasive cancer of corruption and criminality,” Oby Ezekwesili expressed on X.
She went on to cite the example of 1970s Hong Kong, where the quest for a better society taught us that “in the pursuit of a better society, ‘it’s never over until the people declare it’s over’.”
