The governor urged higher education institutions in the country to reevaluate their curricula and prioritize courses that are relevant to the 21st century.

He believes that such a shift will enable students to become problem solvers and creators of job opportunities.

During a recent meeting with the governing council and management team of Bamidele Olumilua University of Education, Science and Technology, Ikere Ekiti (BOUESTI).

led by Prof. Patrick Aina, Oyebanji stressed the need to prepare students for the changing global landscape and the rapidly evolving job market.

He called on universities to align education with the requirements of the modern workforce and expand their course offerings to include subjects relevant to the 21st century.

This, he argued, would be a valuable opportunity to contribute to the nation’s economic growth by producing graduates capable of driving innovation, entrepreneurship, and job creation.

While acknowledging the university’s outstanding academic achievements and the peaceful atmosphere on its campus, the governor encouraged the council and university management to actively engage in and leverage public-private partnerships for holistic development, expertise, resources, and innovation within the university.
