and the Nigeria Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRE), to address a substantial audit query amounting to N20.853 billion.

Additionally, the committee has issued a 72-hour ultimatum, led by Rep Bamidele Salam, for these agencies to appear before it.

The audit queries, which collectively amount to N20.853 billion, were raised against these agencies by the Office of the Auditor-General of the Federation.

Prominent among the agencies summoned are the Rural Electrification Agency (REA), Nigeria Export Promotion Council (NEPC), and the Federal University of Petroleum Studies in Effurum, Delta State.

Salam stressed that this decision was made due to the absence of the agencies during a committee session intended to address the audit queries against them.

He also issued a stern warning, emphasizing that the invitation serves as a final notice before the possibility of arrest warrants being issued against the agency heads.

Among the six entities invited, only the Rural Electrification Agency sent letters to the committee, requesting that the Chief Executive Officer be excused from attending the hearing.
