In a statement issued on Saturday, the President of the youth group, Ismail Tanko, emphasized that Seyi had actively contributed to the success of his father’s campaign and had been making substantial efforts to support the administration.

The youth leader clarified that Seyi’s presence around the FEC meeting did not signify regular attendance, as he possessed the intelligence to refrain from participating in cabinet meetings.

Tanko elaborated, stating, “It is essential to recognize that Seyi played a pivotal role during the campaigns by diligently mobilizing the youth vote for his father. The tireless efforts of Seyi in advocating for the appointment of young individuals have resulted in numerous young people holding significant positions in this administration.

“It is fair to say that Seyi made substantial contributions to secure the President’s victory. Therefore, Seyi is deeply invested in the success of his father’s administration.

“Seyi has never claimed or informed anyone that he is a member of the Executive Council of the Federal Republic or holds a government position. He has consistently played a supportive role in aiding his father’s success.

“Let it be known that Seyi is not an intrusive or unwelcome presence. He refrains from cabinet meetings, demonstrating his intelligence. He may have visited the villa to convey a message but never occupied a prominent position. President Tinubu is his father, and it is crucial to refrain from censuring or humiliating him.”
