The incident involved the HS25 aircraft, which had the Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu, and several of his aides as passengers.
The aircraft took off from Abuja Airport en route to Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State, at approximately 6:41pm.
During the landing attempt at about 7:21pm, the aircraft crash-landed into a wooded area near the airport runway in Ibadan.
According to a source, the aircraft’s pilot had received clearance for landing prior to the incident, and all passengers and crew members were successfully evacuated. However, the aircraft itself sustained substantial damage.
