Governor Alex Otti of Abia State has put forth the names of 34 individuals to serve as Chairmen and Deputy Chairmen for the 17 local governments within the state… CONTINUE READING 

Among the nominees are David Ogba and John Udeagbala, nominated for Ohafia and Aba North LGAs, respectively.

A statement issued by Uzo Nwachukwu, the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, confirmed that the Governor has forwarded the nominees’ names to the Abia State House of Assembly for the purpose of screening and confirmation.

Here are some of the nominated Chairmen and Deputy Chairmen:

• Chairman: Elelenta Nwambuisi Elele Deputy: Mr. Eberechukwu Ahuruonye (Isiala Ngwa South)
• Chairman: Mr. Newman Azu Deputy: Mr. Anele Michael (Ukwa West)
• Chairman: Joe Ezearu Deputy: Mr. Okezie Azuma (Arochukwu)
• Chairman: Mr. Obike Ejike Nnochiri Deputy: Mr. Olendingwa Nwabueze (Umuahia South)
• Chairman: Mr. C. Y. Nwankwo Deputy: Mr. Uchenna Nwanbuko (Isiala Ngwa North)
