He made this declaration during the swearing-in ceremony for the 2023 Batch C, Stream I corps members in the state, stressing the importance of a conducive environment for effective service.

The ceremony, where 1,301 Corps members took their oath of service, was presided over by the State Chief Judge, Hon. Justice Matilde Abrakasa Ayemieye on the governor’s behalf.

Governor Diri’s Executive Assistant on NYSC Matters, Wisdom Poyeri, urged the newly sworn-in corps members to dedicate themselves to providing quality service to the state and the nation, underscoring the nation’s reliance on them for service and leadership.

The governor encouraged active participation in camp activities to enhance their citizenship and leadership skills and assured ongoing support from his administration to help the National Youth Service Corps achieve its goals.

The State Coordinator, Mrs. Okpalifo Obiageli Charity, expressed appreciation for the governor’s efforts in camp infrastructure development and requested the timely completion of additional hostels and drainages to accommodate more corps members.
